Ha..! Haaa..!

The good news is that I will be doing a couple of hotel-room giant pinholes
in the next couple of weeks.
I need to build a large enough corpus of these images to be able to do a
significant exhibition in 2009 or 2010.

With that in mind and the constraints of securing the appropriate location,
I really have to spend a lot of time on the
WHAT, WHY, HOW and WHEN of each exposure.

I guess this is what is called pre-visualisation in our photo textbooks.
It's really become a second nature for me
and it's still central to whatever digital-pinhole work I may do
(don't worry... it's only a small quantity...! I don't like
digital-pinholin'!)
With this in mind, for instance, my WPPD picture was completely determined
in my mind beforehand
but it did take several pictures before I was satisfied
because I still only have limited control over the digital pinhole camera.

All in all, I have to say that I agree with you, Taco.
It would be very unfortunate if digital pinholin'
led pinholers to stop worrying about W, W, H and W because they can make
1000 images on their memory card.
It would be an even greater misfortune for them
if they forgot the smell of darkroom chemistry and the magic of processing a
paper negative...

Best,

Guy
