Long live WPPD 2009!

Hello all,

WPPD 2008 is over, long live WPPD 2009!

I hope that you will join me to send a word of congratulation to the whole
WPPD 2008 team for their wonderful work and the continuing success of WPPD.
It is not a trivial task to get this event rolling so successfully year
after year.

And then, also a big hand to the 2630 participants from 62 countries who
sent their images.

And finally, but not least by any means, a very special thanks to Zernike Au
who was at the very root of the creation of WPPD and to Gregg Kemp who
spared not an ounce of energy and dedication to make sure that this event
came to life and developped a momentum of its own before passing it on to
the next generation of coordinators. Good health and happy light to both of
them!
