At this scale I would skip bellows entirely. I'd go with two open-top
boxes that slide in and out of each other.
Have you considered using a fiberglass layup? It meets your
requirements of being strong, lightweight, and rigid. The downside is
that it's very expensive and working with it is unpleasant.
