Re: pinhole camera at science fair

A couple of years ago, I had my photo students turn the classroom into a camera obscura. From the third floor of the school, the view was a common garden gathering area that doubled as an elementary school playground at various times during the day. I had them calculate the "pinhole" size (we tried three: f128, 256, and 512) and create a shutter. It was wonderful...their minds were effectively blown to see little people running around on the ceiling.

But she just couldn't think of any thing that interested her - and her
partner really like photography.

I'm going to try my best just to be a resource - but the idea of turning
the entire gym into a giant pinhole camera is really appealling :)

That would mean devoting a significant portion of the gym to her project
- maybe they could just make the gym a pinhole camera for one of their
science periods.
