Chuck, thanks for the tip. I wasn't aware that this was there. I'll buy
a box and see how it works with film holders. -thom

  Thom,
I'm here at school and the Photo Warehouse catalog has Varigrade IV Pearl
[less reflection problems] in 4X5 400 count boxes for $26.95 USD.
They have an online site at: www.ultrafineonline.com
Or can be contacted at : Photo Warehouse, 121 Lombard Street, Oxnard, CA 93030
  1-800-922-5484 phone or 1-805-988-0213 FAX
Hope this helps! They have been very good to me.

Does anyone know if there is a photo paper that is 4x5 right out of the
box? I would prefer not to have to cut down 5x7 paper to fit my 4x5
    filmholders. Thanks, Thom

      Hi Lisa,
I have used an RC pearl paper from Photo Warehouse in California [USA] and had
good luck with their Arista Varigrade Paper which I think is produced in
England. It has no printing on the back and I have regularly used 5X7 to
11X14 with nice results. The prices are pretty fair too. I can get the exact
address, phone, and Fax for you if you want, off list. Or I can send it to the
list if anyone else is interested. They have a large selection of fiber
      papers too.

        Hello all,

I always use film for my pinhole images. But I have a project
that involves paper negatives. What are the papers available that have no
printing on the back? Do the packages of paper tell you whether or not
    there
is printing on the back? Is it better to use rc or fiber? These are
questions I could have answered myself 10 years ago. But I've gotten so in
the habit of using film, those bits of knowledge have left my brain.

        thanks
        lisa
