OK, here's a question that I posed to the Other Side and got some response,
but this -ahem- illustrious team may have more to add.I am looking for a good
A3 size - 14x17 inch platen- flatbed scanner, one that doesn't cost in the
thousands $USD. There is a Mustek Scanexpress A3 on the market for cheap
[~$150 USD] but has gotten some pretty bad user comments - bad drivers, only
USB1, poor workmanship, no support. The next up may be a reconditioned Epson
GT 15000 for $700+ but without any software and not returnable. I have also
heard of a Plustek OpticPro A320 in the mid $300 range but can't find a
supplier. I have been in contact with the manufacturer in Taiwan but this
doesn't seem to be in current distribution. My exhibition prints are either on
16x20 or 11x14 paper (i.e. 12 1/2 and 9 1/2 inch circular pinhole camera
images) and I have to print a separate edition just to make scans for jpg's
for submissions - a bother, and that's why I'm looking for this out of the
usual size scanner at a reasonable price.Anyone have any ideas and user
experience with this size
scanner.Peterhttp://www.pinholeformat.com/peterdgal1.htmlHope that this gets
the list kickin'...
