Why not plan on it?

Again, I don't see a compelling reason for pinhole-discussion to
end. Cyberspace is boundless and electrons are cheap. Some old
ways are also good ways.

This is a community that goes way back. Some of the older net
technologies, like mailing lists, like USENET, are also the most
radical, free and democratic. It's like they have a life of
their own. Vive that!

The idea of a mailing list is that it continues as long as people
are interested. No one owns it, no one controls it, except the
the community that uses it.

If that community is gone, or apathetic, maybe it is time to shut
down. But I propose we take a moment to decide.

How about this: anyone interested in keeping pinhole-discussion
around, let it be known, here and now.

Don't be shy! Rise up. A simple yes, aye, or anything in the
affirmative will do. Again, this isn't a vote on what is the
"best" technology, or a measure of traffic patterns.

The questions is, simply, do you want the pinhole-discussion list
to continue?

If there is any kind of response, I say we keep it going. If
Eric wants to hand off hosting duties (which is perfectly
understandable), I'd be willing to find a new listserver, and
take up the administration part. Or someone else could, or if
Eric decides to keep on, that's cool too.

Let's give it some time.

I vote yes. Keep pinhole-discussion going.

cheers,
Scott S
