Hi John
Please send me the Item number for the meter... Actually I SHOULD just buy
one from you. How hard is the kit to assemble? I use to assemble computer
boards for a hobby but that was back in the days of 8 bit computing.. (gasp)
Thanks for the time... Happy holidays
Regards
Andy schmitt

Sorry for the late response (pardon the pun). Yes I have actually been using
the light meter and shutter quite a bit (hence the lack of postings).
Primarily, currently, for flash photography at night and I have also been
taking various ad-hoc pictures just to try out new ideas and techniques. I'm
afraid I don't have a scanner and rarely get photographs scanned (1 or 2 per
roll) but the exposure consistency I can guarantee, is superb compared to my
previous, varied, results.

I have finally rooted out the sensors spectral responsivity and was actually
surprised that this particular diode does have some sensitivity to UV. I'm
not sure what response the Daguerreotype process requires though. To make
the light meter function for UV only you would need to either ensure there
was *only* UV present or put some filters over the sensors. I enclose the
response curve for the pure sensor minus IR cut filter.

Anyhow I have finally got round to finishing off a third light meter and
will put it up on eBay, tomorrow or the day after, the reserve price being
the parts cost. The software is now fairly stable but I will probably add
some kind of indication for the estimated number of flashes required for
flash metering and allow the reviewing of previous exposure times via the
rotary encoder.

In any event a Merry Xmas to all pinholers!

All the best

John
