My apologies for a geographically specific issue, but I couldn't figure
how to hit only Northeast USA with this.
I'm a member in a new cooperative fine art photography gallery in
Milford, Pennsylvania. We have two more slots in our membership, and we
are trying to have all our members have very different styles, subject
matter, and processes. I am only a part-time pinholer, but seeing the
enormous interest from customers in the few pinhole images I've shown
during our first few months of existence, I'd like to see us add a
serious pinhole photog to our roster of SX-70 transforms, large format
architecture, hand painted infrared, dive photography, SE Asia travel
photography... etc. (See, I wasn't kidding about diversity of style.)
You need to be close enough to Milford PA to be able to gallery sit a
day or so a month as we equally split gallery duty, and feel its
important to promise our customers interactions with photographers. We
are not a traditional gallery, we only show the work of the co-op
members. There are other things we can discuss off this forum.
Contact me if you're interested and want to get more info.
Here's a look at us: www.highlandsphotoguild.com
For any of you elsewhere thinking about a similar arrangement, feel free
to contact me and I'll share the trials, tribulations, and fun aspects
of a co-op photography-only gallery. We've been more than pleasantly
surprised at the market reception. People love the few pinhole images
I've got up, nothing as lovely as what I've seen visiting the sites of
people in this group. We're doing workshops too, a good opportunity for
a skilled pinholer to spread the craft. We've had requests for pinhole
workshops, and I am not skilled enough to fulfill those requests.
Thanks.
Ed
