Pinhole sieves are optimally sized to the aperture of the camera. That said,
you can use any size with any camera in the respect that you can use any
pinhole size with any camera. The images I took in the above link are from a
pinhole sieve that is close to "correct." I have not experimented outside of
what I am currently using, but once the current project is complete I will do
so (as well as experiment with star-shapped pinholes and slits.
