pnhole fever rising

hi all,

It's been so silent, that after a blizzard and spending almost whole day
in a garage trying to find my 4x5 filmholders and film. It was freezing
cold in the garage, and now slowly melting with a big mug of hot coffee,
I decided to waste bandwith.

I found my 4x5 homemade wooden pinhole camera, but so far, haven't found
the arista litho-film and filmholders. The polaroid-kit I found also,
and a bunch of round tin-boxes. But I wonder why always when it's
getting more and more dark in the northen hemisphere, I get interested
in pinhole photography. I've been very active in photographing, had my
first show in january-february in a local gallery, and sold even few
prints. But all was digital. Then a week ago, I took my Holga, and
photographed few rolls of tmax, developed the films, and got fascinated
again of the "real" photography. Still, I print with Epson, and that
leads to the question behind all this idle chatter.
I have not found any 4x5 pinhole negatives either, so haven't been able
to try printing 13x19" print out of them. So, is a pinhole 4x5 negative,
when scanned with sufficient resolution, good for printing 13x19"
prints? The pinhole negative, by nature, is already smooth, even when
quite sharp, and enlargening to a big print may degrade the overall
sharpness. I'd be happy to hear your experiences and any tips (PS, etc.).

I have to wait for my wife to come home from work. She may have a clue,
where my stuff is hidden, so I can start photographing white snow and
colourfull trees. (in BW, of course)

best regards
-matti
