Hello Gordon,
You have a wealth of things to make pinhole cameras around you at this
very moment. When you finish reading this e-mail, your head will be
popping with ideas!
I got onto a morning T.V. show making a pinhole camera from a watermelon!
So fruit is an idea, but the cameras only last a few days; I haven't
tried a pumpkin, that would last a while.
Then there is bread in all sorts of shapes; long loaves, puffy Hawaiian
breads, Italian ,etc.. I still have a "dinner roll" pinhole cam that I
made 20 some years ago, and it still works! There are sea shells that can
be made into cams. There are gum ball containers, film cannisters, duct
tape rolls ( use the center of the roll for camera space); and the duct
tape cam sticks to just about any spot, (I've made one). There are ice
cream cones of differing shapes (made one already), shoe boxes, cigar
boxes, match boxes, Veggie cams ( the sky's the limit here), Tupperware
cams; I made a water filled pinhole camera a while back and still have
that too. Theres all kinds of pots with lids, buckets colanders, and
other kitchen gizmos. Just remember if you can find a way to make it
light tight you can make a camera from anything your mind comes up with.
But I must WARN YOU, making pinhole cameras can become addictive, you
just have to find something else to try, and it keeps on going and
going!!!
Have FUN!!!!!
"Keep on Pinholin'",
