Hello,
Just in Time for WWPD!
I have for sale a beautiful hand made Finney Pinhole Camera,
individually numbered, and well cared for by myself since
purchase. This camera has only been gently used, and, for
the most part, has served as the centerpiece of my camera
display in my living room.
For those not familiar with the camera, it is a lightweight
(2.5 lbs) mahogany and brass 4x5 camera, capable of focal lengths
from super wide- 40mm to telephoto- 200mm, and everywhere in
between. The bellows and front standard don't fold, but cleverly
retract to form a very compact and portable package.
It has a turret with 4 pinholes you can choose from,
as well as 3 diff. zone plates, for that neat "soft" look.
The camera even has a ground glass, and a special large
"viewing pinhole", to aid in composition for those who wish
to use a dark cloth.
As an extra bonus, I am including a lens board that Kevin
Finney custom made for me, on which you can mount a lens,
if you want to use it as a traditional 4x5 lens field camera.
I used an old lens from a Grafmatic, which are available
inexpensively on EBAY. IF you choose to add a lens, you have
the best of both worlds- lens and pinhole, in a lightweight,
easy to carry package.
Of course, it goes without saying the incredible quality you
get from 4x5 negatives, whether you are scanning, enlarging,
or making contact prints with silver gelatin papers or
alternative process workflows.
Why am I selling this? I have two other field cameras, that
and, to be honest, I just have too many cameras around the house.
This fine camera needs to be in the hands of someone who loves the
pinhole process, and appreciates the beauty of an instrument
that is a work of art, and can create works of art.
These are $1199 new. I am selling the camera (and the extra
lens board which Kevin Finney created for it) for $899.
Please email me for more info and so I can reserve it for you:
