Both paper and film are easy to process
Paper is cheap compared to film
Film come in 4x5 size
Paper, you may have to buy 8x10 or larger and cut it yourself
Paper is easier to scan using a flatbed scanner w/o transparency adapter and
them make it positive digitally
Both paper and film are easy to contact print
Paper has an ISO of about 6 = long exposures, film can be as fast as you
want (to buy it).

I'd go with paper, you can shoot lots for less money compared to film. Once
you get the handle of it, you can try film and decide what you like best.
