As far as I can tell by going to gallery's in NYC, they have no problem with
showing digital prints. It's harder than you would think to find a gelatin
silver or non digital c-print. And earlier this year in Santa Fe I was told
by a few gallerists that they only show digital. I don't think the problem
of artists not being able to show digital prints is a real problem. As a
traditional kind of person I am feeling pushed to make digital. But others
may be having different experience.
