I still use both methods but when I am no longer teaching part-time at the
high school I will lose use of a convenient darkroom. I have plenty of
darkroom equipment just no suitable room in our house.
I also use an Epson 1280 at school but find I get just as good quality prints
with my i860 Canon at home. I do like the Canon since it uses individual
color cartridges.
I have been printing on a heavy weight 100% cotton rag paper I bought from
Photo Warehouse. Scanning my 35mm canister pinholes gives me a miniature
contact print with silver. However when I scan at 600 dpi I can print a very
nice 5X7 from that 1.65" X 3" paper negative. I like both, but inkjet is
getting to be the better choice for me. Good to hear from you Thom!
