Loris and Chuck,
Christina can't use the window with 220 film. This is the professional
double length version of 120 film. To make it that long they only have
the paper at the front and tail of the film. There are no numbers down
its length to advance the film by.
Christina, you can do your own test to see how far to turn the knobs.
Using one roll to test, load the film as normal but don't put on the
back. With the start arrow at a common place like the left edge of the
frame, count how many revolutions it takes for the knob to turn to get
the film fully into the frame. Remember this as its your starting
amount. I put a mark on the film at the left frame then see how many
turns it takes of the knob to get the film to just beyond the right of
the frame. This is your advance amount. I would round these turns up to
the next full revolution since as more film is wound onto the spool,
more film will take up. You should have 24 images on a roll. Use a
piece of tape and a pen to mark these off when you shoot or you will
forget.
Chris
