Twist the reel strongly counter-clockwise and it will separate into two
pieces. Then widen it and twist clockwise (there are three separate
width settings, you must use the widest one) to relock it into one piece
again.

I shake off excess water then dry with a hair dryer when I have to reuse
the reel quickly. Never had any problem and it dries pretty quick that
way (takes no more than 1 - 1.5 minute). I don't find steel reels more
practical compared to the plastic ones.

Loris.

Subject: [pinhole-discussion] need help adjusting film reel

I feel kind of stupid that I'm not smarter than a piece of plastic, but
I can't figure out how to adjust my new Paterson reels to 120 size.
They are the auto load reels for the Super System 4. Any ideas?

Thanks!
