Office supplies stores also carry the same, only intended as "fresnel
magnifiers" for reading, couple of bucks each sheet. Most view camera users
have a more expensive version of the same as integral part of the ground
glass assembly. It helps a lot with my G-Claron f/9 for instance, which is
difficult to focus otherwise. BTW, the fresnel lens doesn't really amplify
light. The ground glass disperse light in all directions, a small amount
in the direction of our eyes, that is why we can see an image on the GG, if
we had a clear piece of glass, no light is dispersed and that is why we
don't see any image on it. A fresnel lens refracts a lot of that dispersed
light and send it toward our eyes, that is why the image looks brighter and
gives the appearance of light amplification.
