Just an idea, you might try placing one of those sheet plastic pseudo statically adhesion lenses used on the rear windows of motor homes to help drivers see what is
behind them. Besides magnifying, I think they amplify light too. I don't know how much distortion they create. Take your Finley to an RV dealer. You would need to
buy one to try it out.
