Hi all,

Thanks for all your suggestions, I was glad to see such an active digest
this morning.

I don't have a copy of Eric Renner's book but have been meaning to buy one
for years, now I have an excuse. I'll also look into the pinhole journal
volume regarding the dektol lith film method. I'm going to mess around with
moving bits of brass over each other today. I'm not quite sure precisely
what 'construction' paper is but I will probably try and source some and
give that method a go too.

I can't believe that I did not think of EM grids as most of my PhD was using
the electron microscope including the use of wide and various shapes of
grids (my favourite were the 400 mesh thin bar hex grids). Hell I may
already have a readymade slit sitting on one of those little grid pots.

Anyway, somehow I'll be able to get one made and if Chuck manages to make a
pretty picture with it I'll let you know where to find it. Of course that
would be a little off subject as he'd be using the slit to convert a
protein, the picture would actually be taken with a conventional camera but
I'm sure you'd tolerate that...

Best

Tom
