Hi Katharine,

Chris Peregoy posted that information, paraphrasing Eric Renner's book.
I have the second edition of that book, and find the passage on pages
136-137:
"A camera can be devised with six pinholes, each hole casting an image
where sixty degrses is captured onto the cylinder. Each image
fades proportionally into the one next to it, so that in the overall
total image there is even exposure ... When six pinholes are used,
each one capturing sixty-degress of image, a ratio can be given for
structuring any size camera: focal distance equals the radius of the
inner cylinder."
The camera being discussed is probably the one at
http://geocities.yahoo.com.br/dimaues/camerasexpo06.htm
where the inner radius looks to be somewhat larger than half the total
radius.
Chris' message will appear in the archives tonight. Dirceu, do you
think you could post a link to the archives from your site? Naturally,
I am biased, but I feel they are a valuable resource to the community.
