I'll bet the English postal workers are more tolerant
and flexible because of the historically interesting
addresses they have had to deal with for so long. I
marvel at addresses that include landmarks...like (I'm
making this up) Cottage on Hedgerow on Thames Adjacent
to Doghouse.

I lived in the Chicago suburbs for 4 years and I could
never figure out addresses like 20W37 BlahBlah St. One
needs to know what it's referenced to. A visitor to
town doesn't have those secrets.

Then I hear the Soviets made incorrect maps so people
would have idea where they really lived & couldn't
escape. I guess not getting your mail could be a
consequence of that, or why a PO Box was so important.

I would probably want an envelope to protect the
photos - they get pretty beat up don't they?
