Yeah, I must sheepishly offer an apology to the digest subscribers for
dumping a giant batch of mail on them while they slept (or whatever it
was they were doing around midnight San Francisco time) last night.

As most of you know, I've been working to move the list over to a new
server, a new (to me) computer. There was a false start a few weeks ago,
and I was unaware that the digest started backing up at that time.

"Backing up" as in "clogging up", not "making a copy for safekeeping".

Anyway, the move happened last night, and the spitbite lists are now
running on a more capable machine.

I've also instituted a system where the day's posts will be integrated
into the threaded archive every night. Doing it in real time was just
too complicated with the tools at my disposal. I'll be keeping an eye
on it for the next week or so, but if you take a look today, you'll see
that the archive has yesterday's posts on it.

In short, the list, the digest, and the archive should be pretty close to
being on autopilot from here on in. I am also putting some final touches
on the search engine interface -- the databases are being regenerated
at night, too -- and I hope to roll that out before month's end.
