Always more than one way to skin a cat... not that I ever wanted a skinned
cat around.
I'm thinking the best thing to do is go to an all digital pinhole. I wonder
if anyone on this list has converted a digi-camera yet?

Newton's Rings are ring like optical artifacts that can occur when
optical surfaces are placed very close together. I find it happens most
with the base side of the film (shinny side) is sandwiched next to plain
glass and it can happen more in a humid environment. Thats why I like my
home made carrier because it keeps the film away from the glass. Most
scanners have enough depth of field to accommodate this.
