I hope we can do the exchange again this year. It is really a pleasure.
Although I was unable to participate in last year's swap (can an entire YEAR have
passed since......?), my experience of two years ago was similar to Taco's. I think it is
risky and unfair to get too negative about this. It did disappoint me, though. This year I
will be reluctant to send a print to anyone who put their name on that 2002 list but then
didn't bother reciprocating mine.
Every one that I got.was delightful and fantastic. I remember Jan's breathtaking image of
the church organ, and Ingo's church image, too. I think my favorite must have been
David Balihar's color image of vegetables in a field. That was just an absolutely amazing
photo. Yet every one I got thrilled me and - most important to me - disrupted my
personal assumptions about approaching photography. That is what I treasure the most
about the exchange.
