related testing question

I saw what I guess is a density step tablet of sorts
today...Delta1 might have been the mfr...it was
basically a pie-chart transparency with segments of
different density.

I assumed it was for contact printing but it was
labeled projection something, as though it would go in
the enlarger itself. It may have been 4x5-ish. They
had no other 4x5 accessories, only 35mm and maybe 120,
so maybe it's for larger enough test prints to
comfortably look at???
