Similar for me. I started to use a pinhole camera because I needed
"budget" large format negatives to practice alt. processes - so, I admit
it wasn't the pinhole idea that attracted me primarily (but after
starting, I have changed my mind in favour of pinhole imaging of
course).

I live in Istanbul, Turkey and do photography as a hobby (but have plans
to switch my profession soon and try to make a living from it). I teach
alt. processes in a large (300+ members) photo society in Istanbul
(well, it's not a big deal actually; it's a simple introductory workshop
- cyanotypes and vandykes http://www.ifsak.org.tr/ifsakenglish).

I have a Zero Multiformat 4x5 pinhole camera (feeling a little bir shame
- because I didn't build it myself) and plan to build a 11x14 camera
soon (will use it with paper negatives - will ask questions about this
later).

See a small porfolio of my pinhole images here:

Greetings to all,
Loris Medici.
