Photo Miniature

Andy, Guy, Nick...and all, When I was doing reseach for my thesis on pinhole,
I was able to get copies of the pinhole articles in The Photo Miniature via
Bostick & Sullivan PO Box 2155 Van Nuys CA 91404...Tech Pack Pinhole TPH001. It
is interesting stuff to read...especially about the issues in sharpness and
definition in imagemaking. I have been drawn to the 1901 statement about lens
photography and "a picture which is a triumph of clean cut lines...each detail,
near and distant, is there, making an equally obtrusive claim upon the eye.
It is a wonderful assemblage of accurately portrayed minutia. But that is all.
As a picture it is soulless." Perhaps that is why we need to make images
without lenses.
