Subject: [pinhole-discussion] polaroid sepia film
thanks for the info on the sepia film and the toning recipes. i have toned
polaroid black and white ad it does look nice. in terms of the sepia film,
is it considered a color film or black and white? thanks.

I think Polaroid considers the sepia film as one of their b/w varieties.
All their other b/w films have the same blue and silver packaging, while
color types have blue and red packages. The sepia film is among their b/w
product listings, which says Type 56 is a "medium-contrast film producing 4 x 5 inch
sepia-tone prints with excellent gradation and tonal range. "
That film is beautiful! If you like that effect, check out "chocolate
processing," the newest darling of Joyce Tenneson, and others. Perhaps you've
heard of this b/w film cross-processed with color pods (I think). That recipe
is also on the Polaroid site.
No carbs or calories, either! You can achieve similar results in Photoshop,
however.
