Yeah, I know, but I work in photogravure and collotype, may try some
carbon, and am interested in experimenting further in seeing how it
affects contrast in cyanotype. It is a necessary evil in my work,
and I am happy to have an extra pound of it come my way.

It is most dangerous in dry form, and a mask/respirator must be used
during the mixing. When in solution, wear gloves, a rubber apron,
and be religious about cleaning up drips and spills. It needs to be
disposed of through local hazardous waste channels.

Apparently the alternative, ammonium dichromate, is more expensive,
less effective, and more toxic.

And potassium dichromate is a very pretty substance.
