All;

Here's my survey response:

> 1. The country you will be mailing your cameras from.

USA.

> 2. What film (or paper) formats are you comfortable working with.

Paper negatives and sheet film from 35mm size to 11x14".

> 3. How much time do you think there should be between camera mailings.

Given people's busy lives, at least several weeks between camera mailings, to
give enough time for adequate use.

> 4. How long should the total swap take (3 months, 6 months a year).

(Time between exchanges) x (Number of participants) = Total swap length

> 5. What you would like as documentation for the swap ( a picture from each
> user of your camera or make copies
> of one picture to send to each camera maker in your group).

Each camera should be shipped with documentation on how to load/unload or use
the camera, based on unique or peculiar features of that camera, and what the
builder's recommended exposure time in bright daylight is for a particular
type of film or paper, just to give people a starting place. It would be easier
than having to do a full calibration of exposure times for each camera
received.

A print from each person who's used a camera, sent to the camera's builder,
at minimum. If you have time, you can make additional prints for everyone else.

If everyone scanned their prints, they could be posted online. But many
people (me included) currently don't scan.

> 6. If we break into groups are you interested in being a group leader or
> are you interested in being in
> multiple groups.

Yes, I could be a group leader, and wouldn't mind participating in multiple
groups.

> 7. What other types of documentation would you like to see come out of this
> and can you help in its
> production.

Ideally: method of documenting this years camera swap on the internet. If one
participant could volunteer to scan prints and post to a website, here's the
idea:

A lens camera shot of each camera, with the camera's builder/"owner", and
images from prints made with that camera by other participants, posted onto a
website as a photo gallery. Participants could parcel post the prints (or
scan/email them, whichever is easier) to the person building the website.

Thanks a bunch; I can hardly wait for the swap to begin.
