Last night I removed the old battery & holder (from my Polaroid Land Camera
101) and hooked up 3 type N battery holders & batteries. The only problem is
there is a little metal lever-type thing on the bottom of the battery
compartment. The shutter only works when this lever is pushed down making
contact with the metal under it. I can't figure out how this normally gets
pushed down. It doesn't appear that the battery door is supposed to push it
down to make contact. The original battery holder wouldn't do it. I thought
about putting something in to keep it pushed down, but thought it might
drain the batteries.
My 230 model doesn't have this lever, but my 100 model does.
Any advice from you Polaroid hackers? I tried to call McGyver, but he was
busy.
