I should have pointed out that there is dry mountinig
tissue and there is dry mounting tissue. Seal makes a
product called Buffer Mount that is reversible
(re-heating it releases the print) and buffered
against acid. This type of mount should be archival.
Standard dry mounting tissue may not be, but, as I
said in my earlier post, even standard tissue can
"protect" a print from the presumably worse effects
(worse than the mount itself) of mounting on a
non-archival board. Light Impressions sells Buffer
Mount, but I get it for less money at a place called
Talas that specializes in bookbinding, repair, and
restoration supplies (talasonline.com, I think). I
works out to about $1.05 a sheet for 11 x 14.
