Hi Andrew,

It will be great to meet you at the forum. I'm not sure how many
Minnesotans are on the list. Probably 4 or 5 I'd guess. There were
26 Minnesotans that participated in Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day
last April. This was surprising and pleasant to see.

pARTs has been a great non-profit gallery and support organization for
photographers for the last ten or twleve years. If you know their
gallery, you know that it is the basement of the Calhoun Arts
Building. pARTs, or MCP now, has leased the entire first floor. They
will turn that into high-quality gallery space and turn the basement
into classroom and darkroom space. The plan includes two large gang
darkrooms, so classes and public access can happen at the same time.
They'll also be expanding their educational offerings; this process is
already underway. With this expansion in space and programs, they
felt that Minnesota Center for Photography is a name that better fits
their new role. If you are able to make it to the forum, grab an MCP
newsletter. It goes into a lot more detail. The same article and
introduction is on their website www.partsphoto.org.

Tom
