Steve,

The older model, #500, is the one some people can't
quite get to work right. These go for about $5 plus
shipping on a good day. I used one exclusively with
Type 55 P/N (black and white), and with the type 79
(color). Mine was pretty busted and old but it worked
perfectly. I think the new model is the 545 and the
545i - on these make sure you buy one with a metal
lever - the plastic ones seem to snap off by their own
will power.
