Hi, I'm catching up on old discussions so here goes.
I enjoy the bodycap pinhole pictures that have come
out so far. Being inexperienced, I just jumped in and
made my own from a spare bodycap, drilled and
chamfered with the laser drilled pinhole I got from
the Pinhole Resource website, secured with black tape
to the backside of the cap. My hand drilled, copper
foil pinholes proved to be too soft, too oblong, too
sloppy for good result, and using the Larry Fratkin
on-line calculator put me right in the ballpark for
what I received from the P.R. site. My only drawback
to bodycap pinhole shooting is I haven't had any
darkroom time since high school and I'm limited by
space/time/money to start up again, I have to shoot by
the roll and trust the friendly local photo lab to do
right by me. I am able to satisfy my immediate pinhole
image urges by using my "Pola-pin" but these are
limited to single copy unless I invest in a Daylab
copier or something similar. AAR, I have some images
at
"http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/waltee@prodigy.net/lst?.dir=/Photo+art&.view=t"
if you're interested, just simple photo storage on the
server stuff. I had tried Kodak B/W C-40 process film
with the bodycap Canon camera, but found out too late
that they process the film and print it on color paper
so it had an overall blue tone that took away from the
picture. I'll try again in the future, but for right
now it's only color. I'm halfway through a roll of
film right now, shooting and recording the image info
in a notebook to fine tune my technique. I am looking
into getting a PinHolga/Diana 120 format in the future
to perhaps branch out into different ways, we'll see.
Thanks for your interest, I hope I was able to answer
some questions. David Walters
