That's the one although I quoted the author as David, when in fact it's

Dear Zami,
That was my experience too. After using what I thought to be roughly a
number 9 needle, the images produced were unfocussed, but were clearer
when I held the camera closer to the subject. I subsequently reduced
the pin hole size and got better results. By chance, when I converted a
Polaroid Square shooter for pin hole, once again I guessed and got the
diameter just right. Pure luck I suspect.
