Hi:

Try using a black ABS pipe - you might get away without painting it.

If you need to paint you could also try making a paint brush with a 10'
handle.

You could try getting a piece of 10'' 1/2 tubing and stick a sponge or
something on the end of it. Use the sponge like a paint brush, put paint
on it, or in the tube or both. Can paint from either end of the tube with
this

Or get a little fan and put it at the end of the tube so it draws air
through the tube and then get a spray can and see if the fan will draw the
paint through the tube

Or use smaller pieces of black ABS paint them and use coupling connectors
- threaded ones might work best.

FYI if you have Renner's Pinhole Photography book there is a picture on
page 125 of Jim Jones with a 20 foot pinhole camera made with a tube and
the accompaning image of a solar eclipse made with the camera.
