Sorry, I should have said that setting aperture priority mode when using
a pinhole body cap, works on Canon EOS. This has been done.
The time is calculated from the film speed and the amount of light
falling on the mirror surface lightmeter. The camera defaults to stop down
metering because it does not detect a lens fitted. Manual focus cameras
probably work in a different way and need manual calculation. I do not
know about other auto focus cameras.
The EOS does not allow for reciprocity, but I have used, as a start point,
1 - 10 secs add one stop.
10 - 100 secs add two stops etc.
It seems to work. As pinhole is not an exact science, try, try, try
and see what you get !!!!!!!
