i've used the "New" cyanotype process, and think that it's much better.
the exposure times are reduced somewhat significantly, and the blue is a
much darker, richer color. it gives better contrast as well. that said,
i think it's pretty toxic stuff. i was a bit sketched mixing up the
emulsion in a friend's kitchen. but the results i suppose are well worth
it. getting the chemistry is a pain anywhere outside of photographer's
formulary. i tried to buy it in bulk elsewhere (for cheaper) and was
flat out rejected at the chemical supply house.

i've been wanting to use the stuff on 16mm film stock for projection,
just haven't gotten around to it really. i think you have to strip the
emulsion off the film surface first, and i'm not really sure how to do
that... any ideas?
