I apologize for being off topic but it is important.
As many of you know, I run a national non-profit that teaches printmaking and photography to kids and raises money for other children's programs. Our small, and I mean small, photo center darkroom is just barely adequate.
In photography, since it is not good to be all things to all people, our specialty is and will be pinhole. Great for kids.
We are located in Maryland but have been asked by the town of Van Horn, Texas to relocate our art center as the anchor to their redevelopment plans. It is an opportunity I just cannot past up considering they are offering a building that is 4 times our present location. Unfortunately that also creates a major problem.
The move will cost us a fortune leaving little reserves for equipment or supplies. I am asking that if anyone has equipment or supplies they are thinking of parting with and want to make a tax-deductable donation, we would take it. And we need everything. We have one enlarger but will need three more. We need cameras (pinhole), film (thanks to George for the 500' roll), chemicals, print washers, trays, tongs, dryers, etc. Boy, would I love to get my hands on a Jobo machine. Of course, all equipment that can handle 4x5 is critical. Every dime I save on equipment and supplies is money I can use for kids.
If anyone is interested, please DO NOT reply to the discussion list but contact me at brassring@brassring.org
Thanks all of those who have supported us in the past and all of you for taking the time to read this.
Cheers
