This Photo Trak system looks pretty nice and I'll inquire from them.
Your reference to black painted aluminum 1/8"x3/4" which you rivet front
and back is actually something quite similar to what we were coming to,
but our design was a bit more complex. We had in mind these plates
attached to a rectangular frame made of 1" square aluminium tubing with
3/4" plates on the vertical sides to keep the sides of the print from
curling inward. It seems from what you say that the weight of the lower
plate is sufficient to keep it from curling. Less expensive too...
