best viewfinders for close-up work

Thanks to those of you advising me on good medium format (non-TLR)
cameras for zone plate conversion. I have one more question for the
group.

Given that I shoot mostly close-ups, what can you tell me about the
viewfinders of these old folding cameras and rangefinders? Some seem to
have little diopters, others just a little window. Will any of them be
able to frame up something only a foot away? If not, how could I
customize them to do so? Thanks.
