Hey Greg,
Heres my 2 cents worth on how I made my sink.
I took three 2x12s and routered out a 1/2" deep grove
on the side (long side) and then cut some 1" pieces of
ply wood and glued them all together by glueing the
strips of plywood in between each piece and clamping
it together I used the same technique for the sides.
Then I cut the hole for the drain and coated it with
fiberglass resin (with webbing)
In retro spect i think i totally over built this thing
but I have had it for 5 years in which time it has
survived being moved in and out of three darkrooms in
separate buildings, not to mention allot of abuse
being moved around for renovations in those darkrooms.
As for getting the trays off the bottom of the sink (I
think that is what you were really asking) i just went
to home depot and got some 2x2 strips of wood and
coated them with polyurethane. They are not
permanently attached to the sink which I think is
good.
If you want i can send you an e-mail of list with
better details.
