Try eBay, but be very careful and follow a few simple rules:
1 - read the fine prints of the vendor.
2 - Make sure you know which model is required by your camera (there are
several differences, specially with wooden ones, in size).
3 - Contact the vendor to confirm that the holders are light-proof,
other stay away from them.
4 - Check recent transaction prices by running a search on "completed
items" for what you want to buy. Check used camera stores (Mid-West
Camera is one of the better source and fair-price place to buy on the
web http://www.mpex.com/ For used Large Format gear, check Lens&Repro
at http://www.lensrepro.com/ or the F Stops Here at
http://www.thefstop.com/).
5 - Know how much you are prepared to pay and stick to your price.
There will always be 1,000's of 8x10 holders going through eBay.
Remember, eBay is a SELLERS' market" Believe it or not, people will
often pay more for a used item than for a brand new one. But if you are
careful and not in a rush, there are still some pretty good deals to be
had.
Good luck,
Guy
