Hello jrollins@starband.net (Joe Rollins),
In reference to your comment:
่ I am in the process of doing a pinhole study of the Old
่ South. I am interested in taking photos of Civil War
่ re-enactors. I will be shooting in open sun or shade. I
่ would perfer the images to be rather sharp, faces are
่ what I am concerned about with my exposure time
่ being 45 seconds on an average. The main camera I
่ use has a focal length of 106.68 mm, a 432 mm
่ pinhole, and I use 4x5 ilford mgIV. The other cameras
่ I use are all oatmeal boxes. Will build a suitable
่ camera if a different focal length would be better. I am
่ just beginning in pinhole photography and not ready to
่ move up to film.
I guess I would ask , why not film, exposures would be in the suitable range
of a few seconds, and not 45 seconds, which am sure would incur movements by
the folks being photographed. I am interested in following up on this thread
too, since I have been in very recent contact with civil war
re-enactors/pioneer settlers locally . and have seminal ideas about doing a
project/series . I cant recall who it was, maybe someone on this list, that
did a project called Civil War Redux and had some quite fascinating images,
all done with pinhole I believe , I have seen the web site, but cant locate
the URL just now ,
