blackening silver

I seem to recall silverware blackening when stuck in raw egg yolk..I think
silver sulphide is the 'offending' reaction.

Might be worth a try if you don't have or want to mess with rather than
selenium toner.

Not sure how fast it is...I think I did it as a kid as a science experiment,
but we usually ate with stainless steel.
