Re: The Holga. A friend who's a pro. photographer/teacher hadn't heard of
the Holgas so I let him borrow one of mine--which he hasn't used in a month!
I asked him why not? He answered that he didn't think he could since it was
inaccurate in nearly every respect and brought me into his studio where he
showed me some of his camera collection, some cameras dating back to the
19th century--through the toy cameras of the mid-50's (Mickey Mouse,
Hopalong Cassidy etc.) pinhole pano. cameras homemade and otherwise, and
many toy/junk cameras produced right up to the present.
He does studio work these days and doesn't shoot with any of these
others--just his 11x14 view camera.
