I'd suggest you stick to paper for this class.

But I'd suggest you start at www.pinholeday.org/support

Here: http://members.rogers.com/penate/pinsize.htm , you will also find a B&W
paper reciprocity table in it.

Use Ilford Multigrade and rate it as ISO3 to ISO 6

Take soda pop cans, cut the top, sand the cut, paint the inside black.

Make a pinhole on the side

Scan the pinhole using your flat bed scanner (higher optical resolution it
allows). Zoom in on it:

you then can inspect and if using photoshop 6, you can even measure the pinhole
(I don't know if 5 has the measuring feature) or using my article
http://members.rogers.com/penate/diameter.htm
Make a cap for the can using 2 or 3 leyers of black garbage plastic bag, put
this on top of the cans and then wrap around and on top some duct tape.
Cut 10x18 cm pieces of B&W paper and load them in the pop-can pinhole camera
Here is a sample of an image with such camera (image made in a workshop I gave
Nov/2001):

You don't have to, a google search would give you any site you may need and for
prior discussions, a search of this mailing list archives is all you need.
